Biography

After graduating from the Technical Institute of Agriculture in Florence he enrols at the College of Agriculture of the University of Florence going on to obtain the title of Oenologist with a first class degree

Professional formation at Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi spa, where he matures his professional experience in analytical and qualitative control, after that he attends an important formative stage in California at Seghesio Winery in Sonoma Valley, where he furthers his scientific knowledge and successively in 1998 joins the Matura Group , working as Oenologist in close collaboration with Attilio Pagli and Alberto Antonini and attending to various wineries in Italy and also in Spain, Romania and Serbia.

Since 2001 I have been working as a consultant in the wine sector. I have had significant experience as a consultant in the south of France. I am a member of the wine tasting commissions Doc and Docg, and speaker in the courses AIS and FISAR.

In 2008 together with Sergio Bettini, I started to experiment making wine in the terracotta Jars produced by Artenova in Impruneta. This experimentation sparked an international biennial event of Amphora Wines called “Terracotta and Wine” now nearing its 4th edition. The work on terracotta and wine is constantly evolving thanks also to the research conducted with the University of Florence to deepen the knowledge on this ancient material.

I have done a significant experience in the diffusion of Wine Culture , holding numerous seminars in the main cities of Japan. He has participated as Judge at the Japan Wine Challenger in 2007 and at the Vinofest in Vrsac (Serbia) in 2011 and 2012.
